Thorough extracellular vesicle (EV) characterization is a tall order, even with highly purified cell culture samples. Adding in lipoproteins, cellular debris, and protein aggregates only obscures results, making it even more difficult to confidently identify real EVs in a sea of similarly sized particles. When working with complex biofluids, limited sample volumes, or rare EV subpopulations, the challenge only increases.
Leprechaun simplifies EV analysis by immuno-capturing vesicles on its Luni consumable before measuring particle size and concentration, while simultaneously profiling EV phenotype across up to four surface or cargo markers — all from less than 25 microliters of sample. Compatible with a wide range of sample types, from cell culture media to crude plasma, Leprechaun eliminates the need for upfront purification. With sensitivity down to 5E5 particles per milliliter, true single-particle analysis, and sizing down to 35 nanometers, Leprechaun enables confident EV characterization, even for the smallest and rarest populations.
In this webinar, you will learn how Leprechaun brings together single-particle interferometry with immunofluorescence to deliver a complete picture of EV samples. Learn how to get a simple titer of EVs in your sample, assess EV cargo loading efficiency, and obtain a detailed breakdown of all EV subpopulations in your sample.
Topics to be covered:
- Understand the key challenges in EV characterization, particularly in complex biofluids and low-volume or rare EV samples
- Learn how immuno-capture–based single-particle analysis can improve EV identification, sizing, and quantification without upfront purification
- Explore how Leprechaun integrates interferometry and immunofluorescence to simultaneously measure EV concentration, size, and phenotype
- Gain insight into practical EV applications, including EV titer determination, cargo loading efficiency assessment, and subpopulation profiling
