And so I sit down,
Last editorial of the year—
A sandwich to one side,
The other a beer—
To reflect on the annum
That quickly did pass.
My annual ritual.
My poetic task.
I remind you of hope
In a far distant land
As you tackled disease;
Man's humanity to man.
I recall the bids
To merge or acquire
One company by another,
To fill pipeline they aspire.
The technical advances,
Both cellular and nano,
And computational gymnastics
That suck up the RAM. Oh,
The year that has passed
Has been quite amazing.
But I've got a feeling
That the year we are facing
Will bring so much more;
This was just a tease.
But for this week, we rest
And I wish you all PEACE.
