-New 20C sample access manager provides cost-efficient way to store samples

Hamilton Storage Technologies has launched its -20C Sample Access Manager (SAM), an entry-level system that offers reliable automation, multiple sample type capability, cherry-picking, sample tracking and easy-to-use software all within a compact footprint. Similar to Hamilton's -80C storage system, the -20C SAM is can be used to store DNA/RNA, compounds, tissues and proteins. Key benefits include an environmentally temperature-controlled system, a sample temperature range of +20C to -40C, external magnetic couplers used to drive internal robotics, security of samples, a complete audit trail, an Integrated Tube Picking Module (TPM), an LN2 back-up system, easy-to-use software, flexible labware formats and reduction in freeze/thaw cycles.
