Continuous-Flow Ultracentrifugation, Alfa Wassermann Proteomic Technologies
December 2006
SHARING OPTIONS:

Alfa Wassermann Proteomic Technologies (AWPT), a division of Alfa Wassermann Inc., introduces the new AW Promatix 1000—a continuous-flow ultracentrifugation system that employs buoyant density accumulation to automate the separation, fractionation and enrichment of sub-cellular particles in a single step. This instrument provides highly enriched fractions of separate sub-cellular particles thereby delivering more low-abundance proteins and making thorough proteome studies and first-time discoveries a possibility. The AW Promatix 1000 separates organelles, organellar subtypes and macromolecular complexes according to their buoyant density in the gradient. An individual sub-cellular particle is enriched by accumulating in one area of the continuous-flow gradient. An unlimited amount of sample can be loaded to further enhance enrichment. Separated components are fractionated into a 96-well plate format.
