Sigma Life Science to distribute ECACC cell lines

ST. LOUIS—Sigma-Aldrich Corp. has announced the signing of an agreement between Sigma Life Science and the Culture Collections of Public Health England, curators for the European Collection of Cell Cultures (ECACC). Under the agreement, the ECACC collection of authenticated human and animal cell cultures will be offered through the Sigma-Aldrich website. Sigma Life Science will hold exclusive global distribution rights for these products, with the exclusion of the United Kingdom, Australia and Japan. Sigma and Public Health England will jointly distribute ECACC cell lines in the United Kingdom.
 
"This agreement strengthens our longstanding relationship with ECACC and provides the scientific community with broader access to essential life-science research tools," said Josef Zihlmann, vice president of Product Management and R&D, Research Markets, for Sigma-Aldrich.
