Analytik Jena acquires assets from SIRS-Lab

JENA, Germany—Under the purview of an asset deal, Analytik Jena AG has acquired all assets of insolvent company SIRS-Lab GmbH, in keeping with a contract inked by Analytik Jena and LEONHARDT, the insolvency administrator. As a result of the acquisition, Analytik Jena will take on SIRS-Lab's product expertise, including more than 50 patents and 10 employees at the Jena site. SIRS-Lab is a developer of molecular diagnostics methods and testing systems for life-threatening infections.
 
"I am delighted that, in the form of Analytik Jena, an investor has been found who will continue the valuable work that has been carried out in recent years in the field of the diagnosis of life-threatening infections, continuing the fight against sepsis," said Prof. Konrad Reinhart, director of the Clinic for Anesthesiology and Intensive Therapy at the University Hospital of Jena.
