Separating Complex and Protein Samples, Agilent Technologies
April 2005
SHARING OPTIONS:

Agilent Technologies introduces a liquid chromatography (LC) column for the separation and desalting of complex protein samples. The Agilent Macroporous Reversed-phase C18 (mRP-C18) High-Recovery Protein Fractionation and Desalting LC Column enables researchers to more efficiently detect and identify potential biomarkers in complex samples such as serum or plasma by providing high sample recovery (greater than 95 percent according to Agilent), resolution and reproducibility.

In combination with Agilent's Multiple Affinity Removal System for immunodepletion of high-abundance proteins, the mRP-CI8 column improves the ability of researchers to uncover new proteins that may act as markers of disease and, therefore, possible targets for drug discovery. Agilent claims the mRP-C18 column provides up to three times more protein loading than conventional HPLC columns.
